Connect Google Calendar

EasyDiary offers the functionality to integrate your Google Calendar, allowing you to seamlessly view your calendar events directly within EasyBase. The process of connecting and configuring your Google Calendar may involve several steps, so this tutorial will guide you through the entire process.

Getting Started

Firstly, access the system settings. You can do this by either clicking on the “System Settings” tab on the navigation panel or by clicking the settings icon located in the top right corner of the main window.

Within the system settings window, proceed to the ‘Integrations’ tab.

From this window, add your Google Account email to the textbox which says ‘Account email’ and then click connect.

This will open a window, like the following, in a new tab:

Click on ‘Advanced’ and then click on ‘Go to EasyBase (unsafe)’.

This is just a precautionary measure to ensure the validity of the application.

Once again, a window like the following will display:

Click on ‘Continue’.

This will complete the process of connecting your Google account to EasyBase.

Adding Calendars

By default, your ‘Primary’ Google Calendar will be added to the system when you connect your account. However, you can also add any additional calendars from your Google account by clicking on the ‘Add Calendar +’ button. This will bring up a new window like the following:

To include an additional calendar, you need to input the ‘Calendar Name’, which can be distinct and doesn’t necessarily match the name used in Google Calendar, along with the ‘Calendar ID’. Follow these steps to locate the calendar ID:

Step 1. Open Google Calendar and click on the 3 dots next to the calendar you wish to add.

This should show a popup window like the following:

Click on ‘Settings and sharing’.

Step 2. Click on Calendar Settings.

Scroll down until you see a section called ‘Integrate Calendar’.

Here, you will find a Calendar ID. Copy and paste that ID into EasyBase and then click on ‘Add Calendar +’.

Once you’ve added all your calendars, click on ‘FINISHED’.

To check that your calendars where added correctly. Head over to EasyDiary and if you see a new radio button for ‘Google Calendar’ like the following, then the integration was completed successfully.
